Regent Harold Stokes, a native of Alhambra, California received his medical degree from the University of California at Irvine. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He completed a Hand Surgery Fellowship under the guidance of Mr. Guy Pulvertaft, FRCS, in Derby, England and subsequently a Hand Fellowship training under the auspices of Dr. Daniel Riordan in New Orleans. Dr. Stokes began private practice in Louisiana in 1972. He is certified by the American board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and has a certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Stokes is a member of many national, regional, state, and local medical societies, and has held multiple executive positions. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the Southern Orthopaedic Association, and the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Stokes and his family reside in New Orleans, Louisiana. ** |
