Roland Toups was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and received a B.S. and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He served as Captain in the U.S. Air Force and worked in the early space program on development of the ATLAS/TITAN missiles. Mr. Toups is Chairman of Turner Industries, LTD. Civic and community activities include the United Way, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Mary Bird Perkins, LSU, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, EBR Parish Anti-Drug Task Force, Public Affairs Research Council (PAR), Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts of America, Volunteers of America, Catholic High School, and Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge. Mr. Toups is married to the former Kathryn (Kay) Beasley and has two children and five grandchildren. ** |
