The Louisiana Collaborative for Excellence in the Preparation of Teachers (LaCEPT) is a statewide effort to reform undergraduate education for preservice K-16 mathematics and science teachers. Funded by the National Science Foundationand the Louisiana Board of Regents, LaCEPT promotes and facilitates collaboration across disciplines and among institutions as a means to develop "best practices" for hands-on/minds-on learning of mathematics and science.
